Oh wow, did she come down!
Floods everywhere, major slips, roads closed, no trains, no buses - Wellington came to a very soggy halt last Thursday. Took me two hours to get home (usually 25 minutes). Ran a guy from work home, picked up his stranded kids at school - commuters slept in the city library and all over the city where people put them up for the night cause they had no way to get home.
Crazy. Glad we live on a hill - and not one that is going to end up on the houses below us.
Now we just have 100kph wind gusts, temperature has dropped pretty dramatically, and even a jolly jolt on Friday. haha. Never a dull moment in the coolest little capital.
