Sparks on the western hills

We're in the middle of a wintry blast. Winds gusting to 120kph up here, rain, cold - blasts coming up from the snowy South Island shaking our little wooden house. Brrr. Hope some blossoms are left when calm descends later this week.

This afternoon we saw a phenomena over at the wind turbines. They were catching some sun and as they spun they looked like they were sparking. Cool bananas!
