Still officially autumn but today it started with a blackout = bonus (a sleep in 'cause the alarm didn't go off) so we got out our trusty camping choofer to boil some water for the early morning cuppa. Power was soon back on. Overnight Wellington's local mountain range got a dusting of snow.
Napier even got in on the snow act getting 2-3 cms of snow - pretty unusual!
Here's Carolski leaving for work wearing the lovely warm soft green scarf her crafty sister knitted, complemented by her 'I love peas' button. Just over her left shoulder are the snow ringed mountains we awoke to. Just beautiful.
And to top off an unusual Monday, Carol got an unexpected visitor at work.
