Past the colourful boathouses, along a walking/cycle path beside the stone beach, onto the road for a kilometre or two, then a pathway through the wetland. We popped out at the Pauahatanui village shops and had a little something at the trendy cafe and cycled back.
Took a side trip into the reeds and spied on the birds for a bit from a cute little hide. Australasian pied stilts were featuring today, nesting on the islands.
