From the weather station

Mish and I were wrestling with Microsoft Outlook this morning (finally, successfully, we got that logo onto my email signature!) and we looked up from the kitchen, south, across the harbour to Cook Strait, to where a change was a comin'. Fast.

The wind has been a steady northerly for days, but, as we watched, the horizon blurred and a wall of fuzziness rolled towards us. The wind flicked to a southerly and in 15 minutes our clear, sunny day was replaced by a murky light mist, like sea mist.

The temperature has dropped - that's the southerly effect, the wind is coming off the South Island snow - but Mish is out there with 55 layers on, still building the Taj Mahal (front entry deck).
