Tuesday night at the weather station

Wet and cold out there. On sunset we watched a storm front creep towards us over the harbour, like a dirty curtain, swallowing everything. It slid west and we thought it had missed us, but now we have a fairly rare event in Wellington - thunder and lightning. Well, one crack anyway.
There's snow on the South Island mountain we can see from the living room; there will be more tomorrow.
Nice night for going out, but we are anyway. Off to the Tuesday cheap night flicks to see Dark shadows.
