Remember the couple who nicked off with $10m from a Westpac error?
As if they were going to get away with it. That was two years ago. They took the money and ran. Now he's in custody, in China I think, the news bulletin was vague about that. And she was in a NZ court today, pleading not guilty - he did it, I knew nothing about where all the money came from. The prosecution differs. She's been charged with stealing $11 000 and international money laundering ($300 000 transferred to a casino account in her name seems to support that case). Westpac is still $3m down, but it is a learning experience for them. Priceless.
