It's a linen bag from a hospital. It's been a family green waste bag as long as I can remember, but I only just found out how long. It was left behind by the couple mum and dad bought the service station from in 1960. It's 60 years old! Mum was still using it, but it's just ripped and this is it going into the car for its last ride.

Such a beautiful afternoon. We had a paddle in the warm sea and a fish'n'chip supper at this point on the beach. There's some serious sea fog rolling in on the left horizon, but that's as far as it came today. Yesterday it rolled up to our house and closed the airport.

At about 6.00pm today we watched this amaaazing mist come in from the sea. First it blotted out the harbour, then the city, the mountain and then into our back yard. Ethereal bringing much needed 'coolth' after a hot day.
