Insulation

NZ has brand new building regs and our house is the first one our builders are working on under the new code. Everyone is a bit surprised at the amount of timber and insulation that is going in. And going in. And STILL going in.

We came back from our few days away and found big new windows stacked up in the garage and on the deck and in the house. Mish's studio was choka with several types of insulation. Plus bales stacked in the garage and elsewhere in the new wing. We will be extremely well insulated and probably still standing when the South Island alpine fault goes off (it's due and will be major).

The cutting process is slow (all that timber to work around haha), so Mish is giving them a hand to saw it up.

On the ceiling, two layers of green, one thick one thin.

On the walls, it's a white layer then green. Apparently the white stuff is a bugger to cut.
