Roof goes on fast on a calm dry autumn day

Building going great guns, no major issues so far.

Today the elements of the new roof went on - wire, roofing paper, long iron panels.

From inside the mistresses bedroom, looking toward the studio before the iron went on.

Tomorrow they'll wrap it up with the flashing.

We walked out to Rosetta cafe for lunch (my first walk in three weeks), admiring the local autumn colour on the way.

Our two silver birches down the drive and, in the corner of the park, the newly painted power box.

We're back to delightful warm calm days after a cold snap with a bit of snow on the eastern hills.

In the feather corner of the living room we've been enjoying low afternoon sun through the leafless plum. The feather collection, albatross photo and tv will be relocated in stage 2 of the works when the builders come inside, so here's one for the record books.
