Blazing wind last night (all over the country) and we had a polycarbonate panel lift off and bang about. Out we went with torches and ladder to do an emergency repair and fill some compost bags with sand to hold the ripped panel down. We have plenty of sand.
Did a better fix today, but the sandbags are still up there and there's a hole in the sheeting over the deck. Oh well, the reno is coming and builders will replace all the old sheeting. It's really brittle.
During the day the wind was pretty yuk to be outside so we finished off a pumice and bone totem in the garage. Now out on the driveway, on the other side of the gate because the thief dog would wreck it to get the bone component.
Doesn't matter how old those bones are, she nicks 'em. And shells. And the best bits of collected driftwood, which, before you realise, have their artistic ends chewed. Such things must be kept in boxes with lids.
