It's a mild winter so far and that's great as there are plenty of jobs to do out there.
We finished the gabion stacking. That was a nice completion, getting rid of the pile of busted concrete and bits of found metal and brick.
These concrete circles came from the top of the demolished water tank. Veggie boxes behind.
The yellow rose runs along the top of the gabion cages. It's currently flowering which is seasonally wrong. Plants are confused. That dog gets in every photo!
Coming up the drive, our newest lemon is producing beautifully. All the citrus we've planted are doing well. The sculpture stacks of pumice and driftwood and shells keep getting pillaged by the thief dog, so fixing and redoing them is an ongoing job.
We've partially enclosed the verandah with a sun and wind blocker blind, so the cushions should stay put now. A bonus is that the flax gives us an art work, aka shadows.
Haven't nailed the solar photography yet but it's fun. Still experimenting with the best place to put the can around the yard. This one was on the driveway facing north for about three months and rain got in. The sun tracks are okay but the foreground is uninteresting. And my peanut can's ridges came through - bum.
Mish dug out one of our pear trees, surplus to needs, and we took it over to the brand new garden of the women we bought our house from. Borrowed a trailer and only had to drive inland a few kilometres, but it's gone from sand to clay so it will get a bit of a shock.
Mish tying it on.
Inside, Mish takes over the dining table with renovation paperwork and long overdue filing. Must have been a cold day outside.
