Pruning and plastering

The cherry tree at our gate has carked it so we've started to take it down today. Mulching tomorrow. We never got to see it in leaf or blossom, but we hear it looked great. 😞 This is the site of our proposed citrus orchard.

And later today, the repair on the hole in the living room ceiling began. This was where the chimney went through. Our wood burner also carked it this year (is it us?) so we bought a pellet burner and the new chimney goes out the wall not the ceiling.

The pellet burner (burns radiata pine pellets made from forestry waste) is covered here with a towel, as prior to plastering there was cutting and hammering and filing and shaving of the gib square that's gone into the hole.

Now, what's for dinner Mish?
