Coast walk Pukerua Bay to Plimmerton

Lovely sunny walk a couple of days ago, about 12km along the rocky shore.  Not many people around, but someone else had passed by and stacked some rocks.

Also saw a dead cow, dead puffer fish, dead eel, terns nesting, weird cloud layer on the horizon, and one diver's glove which I souvenired.

We only had to rock climb once, otherwise it was terrain as you see here, for about half way. Then we hit an unused dirt road for a couple of kays, then real road along Plimmerton beach to the shops and the train station.

No trains because of Sunday track work: bus replacements. And of course the bus arrived on the other side of the line in the station carpark - but we just caught it with a pathetic limping run waving at the driver as he pulled away, and rode back to the car. Thus failed to get the promised ice cream.
