Vegie garden makeover begins

We've let this front area go to pot (and weeds) for nearly a year. It's time. Sorry bees who have been enjoying all the self-seeding borage. We'll replace.

So weeded and cleared the space last weekend (2 trips to the green waste place) and have ordered five treated pine planter boxes from a local guy who makes them. No more going to ground for us middle aged women. Or mattocking. Or even much weeding.

But there will be gravel wheelbarrowed up from the drive, for paths around said boxes, and soil for the planter boxes. Enter Sean from up the road who will sell us his muscles for a few hours. Yay!

And this is where the landscape designer says planter boxes will be placed.

  1. What a great idea! The bees will already have benefited. Jude
