A bit of spring in the kitchen

Flowers popping out all over town as the days get longer and ever so slightly warmer. Jonquil, freesia and I've forgotten the name of the other thing (but I knocked off this bit when I moved the plant on the weekend, oops).



Mish has made new planter boxes under her fish sculpture, so we bought a truckload of soil and improved it with a bit of compost and planted a few things over the weekend.

Wheelbarrowed four of these up from the compost, lucky they are are light. Good stuff. Lovely worms awrigglin', and a blackbird following our every move and often coming in for a close look and a snack.
