Cocooning in autumn
One monarch caterpillar has cocooned!
On the swan plant, and on a leaf, which seems pretty goofy. The plants are at the bottom of the garden, but they are still getting buffeted by winds. Must be strong goop holding it on.
This one cocooned yesterday. Metamorphosis is underway.
