The week after Labour Day long weekend
Got a couple of American pals in town; met them in Rotorua on Saturday. Mish stayed home to have some work R&R and to build more of the deck with Mark and Ness. Rotorua is an other worldly city, steam coming up through city streets, sulphur in the air. The whole place is volcanic. A quick visit, must get back there soon for a better look with Mish.
Had some car trouble driving home, so spent an unexpected night in the art deco city Napier, and got home Tuesday evening. Mish had been telling me on the phone that the weather had been too bad to do deck work; the deck photo below shows what a fibber she is.
It's now a grey and breezy Thursday in the cool little capital...
